Next to the public and private instittutions, the Eurlipids consortium acts in close contact with patient organizations, mainly within the areas of neurodegeneration (Alzheimer, multiple sclerosis), cancer and cardiovascular diseases. The objectives are to inform the general public on the scientific breakthroughs and the challenges in clinical research. On the other hand, it is the ambition of the Eurlipids consortium to identify the needs of the patients, and translate the related challenges to short and long term solutions. These encompass clinical diagnosis and the improvement of the tailored and personalized treatments.
